Meet iwoca

We're a team of account managers and adventurers, developers and dog lovers, researchers and rock climbers who are all working to expand possibilities for small businesses.

That's why we built our own lightning-fast lending software. It’s why we were the first lender to use open banking. And it’s why we're constantly developing new products to help small businesses open doors to big opportunities.

"iwoca is the kind of place where you can take on as many opportunities as you want.

In the past two years I've learned how to lead a team, built a CRM system, and upped my pool game."

Olivia Denyer - Product Manager

Our values

Going to work shouldn't feel like a slog, so we want everyone in the team to personally care about what they're working on. We stay motivated by celebrating our wins, learning from our mistakes, and always looking for new gaps to step into.

See all jobs

At iwoca being smart isn't about what you know, it's about how you think. Smart thinking means looking at each problem by asking ‘why’ first, then figuring out ‘how’.

See all jobs

We know all ideas are flawed, all code has bugs, and everyone makes mistakes: it’s how we learn. For us, being humble means you question yourself first, rather than your team.

Growth Mindset

We think there's always a better way to solve a problem. So we never let ourselves get comfortable with being good enough.

We're growing fast

We're not a small start up anymore, but we haven't slowed down. Our mission is to fund one million small businesses.

In the past year we’ve grown our team by 40%, closed a £150 million funding round, and won a £10 million public grant. Next, we’ve promised to make £5 billion in finance available over the next four years and launch three new innovative products.

So we're looking for new team members (we call them iwocans) who can spot opportunities, think creatively and take on challenges - including some we've never tackled before.

Want to know more?

Here are some questions our customers ask. If there’s anything we haven’t covered here, check our FAQ

What is the interview process I can expect from iwoca?
plus sign

Usually our recruitment process starts with a phone screen with someone from our Talent team. The next steps are an interview with your hiring manager and a task specific to your role, like a coding challenge. Then a final interview and hopefully an offer.

Do you offer visa sponsorship?
plus sign

Yes, we have a sponsorship licence. Not every role will be suitable for sponsorship as per Home Office regulations but we are more than happy to discuss that with you.

Do you work with recruitment agencies?
plus sign

We manage most of our hiring directly and when we work with agencies we have preferred supplier list.

Do you have a graduate or internship scheme?
plus sign

We don't have a formal graduate scheme but many of our roles are a great fit for people just starting out in their careers. We also hire for interns across the business throughout the year. Details of each role are listed with the rest of our open roles.

Our 2022 Gender Pay Gap Report
plus sign

All organisations with more than 250 employees are required to report their ‘Gender Pay Gap’. We employed more than 250 employees on 5th April 2022, this is the third year in which we are publishing our data.

On 5th April 2022, we had 284 employees based in London of which 73% were Male and 27% Female. Here are our results:

Mean (Average)Median (midpoint)
Hourly pay gap16%26%
Bonus pay gap71%35%

This means that women typically earn 74p for every £1 that men earn when comparing median hourly pay and 84p for every £1 when comparing  mean hourly pay.

It is important to note that the Gender Pay Gap does not measure equal pay, which relates to what women and men are paid for the same or similar jobs or work of equal value. Women and men are paid equally at iwoca for performing the same roles.
