We spoke with Keilan James-Devereux, Co-founder of ETOTO Media, about how offering flexible payment terms with iwocaPay gave them a competitive advantage by making their services more affordable for customers.

ETOTO Media is a renewables specialist marketing agency based in Surrey. Founded in 2022 by a team of school friends, the business helps renewable energy companies, from sole traders to some of the UK's largest installers, generate new business through Meta advertising, video content and CRM tools. Since launching in 2023, they've worked with over 200 installers nationwide and helped their customers generate an estimated £200 million in sales.

Flexible payment terms was not something ETOTO expected to offer

Before iwocaPay, if a customer couldn't afford ETOTO's services, the conversation was over. Customers on tighter budgets would either go for a smaller, more affordable package or not work with them at all. That changed when they were introduced to iwocaPay.

Onboarding was fast. Within a week of launching iwocaPay, ETOTO had already completed its first sale using flexible payment terms. "The meetings were really smooth and simple. Easy to get on board and easy to get started” said Keilan.

Getting paid upfront removes cash flow stress and frees up funds to reinvest in the business

Getting paid in full upfront, even when a customer is paying over 12 months, means ETOTO can invest in the business and plan ahead with confidence rather than waiting months for payments to come in.

"I absolutely love it. I love the fact that we can get paid upfront. It's been massively beneficial for our cash flow. There was one month we did nearly £100k in finance deals. When you get all of that coming in at once, it allows you to look at your bank and think: what can we invest this in?"

Customers who previously couldn’t afford ETOTO can now not only work with them, but also choose larger packages and see better results

A lot of ETOTO's customers are smaller installers and a five-figure upfront cost can be the difference between marketing their business or not. iwocaPay removed affordability as a barrier entirely. Customers who couldn't previously afford to work with ETOTO now can and get better results as a result.

One of ETOTO's customers, Sharp Heating and Plumbing, had planned to start on the 90-day programme which was half the price but came with fewer benefits. When they saw that they could spread the cost over 1, 3 or 12 months with iwocaPay and buy the full six-month package, the decision made itself.

"We were only planning to test the water with ETOTO's 90-day programme. That's all our cashflow would stretch to at the time. Being able to spread the cost through iwocaPay changed that for us. We went straight for the six-month package: video content, appointment setting and sales training. We'd never have committed to that level upfront but it's turned into one of the best decisions we've made for the business." said Sharp Heating & Plumbing Ltd.

"It's a trick up our sleeve," says Keilan. "Every single proposal I send out, every meeting I sit, I always talk about paying with iwocaPay. It's a no-brainer."

ETOTO's customers say it best

Customers using iwocaPay share the same experience: they can take on more, move faster and free up cash for growth rather than tying it up in upfront costs.

"Going from paying for everything upfront to spreading it monthly through iwocaPay changed what we could take on with ETOTO. Rather than picking one or two bits we could afford, we committed to the full twelve-month package and let it pay for itself out of the results. It's freed up thousands in cashflow each month that we've put straight back into the business" – Crafted Electrics Ltd, one of ETOTO's customers
"I've been with ETOTO for almost three months and the pipeline is already at £2 million, with just under £200k closed. Spreading the cost over three months with iwocaPay meant I could get the website and retainer moving immediately instead of waiting until I'd saved up for it." – MCJ Energy Solutions Ltd, one of ETOTO's customers
